I'm in the process of getting together a stash of hammered metal objects for a new wood and art gallery being opened by a colleague this coming weekend.
As part of the process I decided to make some of my larger patinated copper leaves that could become tabletop 'decorative art'. Thought I'd share some of the photos of the journey - the number of steps in the process always intrigues me.
Recycled copper blanks cut, annealed, folded, cut to leaf shape and hammered.

Lovely journey from rubbish to the hallway table!!! The leaf forms range in size from about 200mm-250mm.
