Nature's crystals

Over the last couple of days we have had a fair amount of overnight rain. This has been good for showing us where the spiders' webs are; but also in the early morning it means that the soft early morning light catches the droplets on the leave and flowers.

The focus of this morning's walk was definitely droplets as you can see from the photos below.

And the day before I captured a few shots of crystals or pearls of water on spiders' webs.

And I could not help sharing a couple of other early morning walk photos: one of the bees having a conversation about where to go for the best pollen; and a very delicate fungi - it will be gone tomorrow.

  2. What delightful strolls around the yard you have. The droplets on the flowers were wonderful, but those shots of the dewy spiderwebs left me breathless. Exquisite.

  6. Hi P, J, JM, S & C - thanks for your comments - and it is such a joy to share the beauty. P & JM - yes we are lucky to have such beauty to capture. J, S & C - the dew and raindrops on webs never cease to intrigue me - love the strength of the webs but the proliferation of droplets - like strung jewels. All - go well and enjoy the beauty nature offers. B
