Colours of a blue moon

©2015 Barry Smith - Sunrise-Moonset across the valley (iPhone)
It is Wednesday, the day I usually blog on photos, so can be excused for sharing some more photos of the moon - particularly given the recent full moon was a blue one.

Fiona was away for Friday and Saturday so I sets myself the task of photographing the full moon at four points - early and later in the evening on Friday; and early and later in the morning on Saturday. I wanted to catch the rotation of the moon and see what colours would appear at the different hours.

The following give a brief snapshot of the four  time frames. Photos taken with the Canon Powershot.

And a couple of photos that are out of focus but are a bit interesting.

And daylight expands softly in the valley.

  1. These moon images are so amazing... you must have a really good camera... and a good eye for imagery.

  2. You are getting so so clever at these images of the moon young man! Can't wait till they start influencing a series of your work. They are probably seeping in anyway. Very powerful B.

  3. Hi D & CE - thanks for checking out the moon. D - simple Canon Powershot camera - but the best part is it has 5 stages of anti-shake so that helps with clarity and focus. CE - thanks for the young man comment!!! I think they could appear in pendants and earrings!!!! Go well. B

    1. C - I suspect they will continue to come as I have a small compulsion to appreciate and photograph the moon. Peace. B
