Some like them square

Some folk are aware that in my silver-plated as-if-holding-water earring series I make both square and round forms to hold the resin and small inclusions.

I was just about out of square pairs of earrings - I only had a couple of small double suspended sets. I was asked if I could make a few more pairs with single square forms. After the 'workshop' day with the young women on Friday which included resin work, I decided to make a stash of square earrings over the weekend. The photo below shows the outcome of my efforts.

And photos of individual pairs  - first a couple of pairs of 20mm square earrings.

Three pairs of 12mm square earrings

One pair of rectangular earrings (20mmx12mm) - well I had to do something with the few left over pages from making book earrings with the young women. These will hang from one corner of the rectangle.

And why not make a tiny 20mmx12 pendant out of the lone third book page.

Overall a good outcome for the weekend.

  1. Your resin pieces with all the nice inclusions are gorgeous, Barry. I think that head stamps of bullet casings would also fit perfect for your jewelry.

  2. B, these are wonderful. I love all of your jewelry, and guess what? I am finally getting my ears pierced, which means I can not only admire, but acquire a pair of your earrings. Soon. Perhaps I can even find something old, cool, and unusable in its current form from which you can custom-make a pair? Oh, I'm liking how that sounds...

  3. S, R, GB & TT (G) - thanks for your visit to the blog and your very welcome comments. S&R - I think the simplicity adds the wow factor. GB - thanks for your comment and support. What are the head stamps of bullet casings? Hi G - well done on the ear piecing front - another pair of ears to be adorned by my stuff. And yes you might find something to be up cycled. All - go well and peace. B
