Fiona and I completed the printing of the seven mini-posters that make up the
Rainbow of Kindness mini-poster series.
We were both printing twenty mini-posters with the goal of achieving 15 high quality prints. I loved the collaborative process. We discussed font size and styles that suited quotes; as well as trying to achieve a balance of fonts.
A few photos of the process for the mini-poster -
Practice random acts of kindness. This is the first time we have used this font - Mistral. It is one of the last trays of lead type that came into our collection. It has an openness that seems suit the 'random' intent of the quote.

We need to let the prints dry for a few more days before adding our Deckled Edge Press chop; and then packaging them.
I'm wondering about your chop ... have you written about it before?

ReplyDeleteLA, P and MC - thanks for your comments. LA - our chop is actually the one for Deckled Edge Press - it is done with an embossing die. P&MC - all of us need the occasional remember of the fact that the offering of kindness enriches both the giver and receiver. Go well. B
