Ethereal light

©2015 Barry Smith - White reflected light - detail
Winter light in the office can often be surprising - shafting in through the louvers and bouncing off surfaces to create patterns and rainbows on the walls.

As you can see from the photos below there was a lot of ethereal light patterns being created just to the left of my computer screen. I love the shades of white and grey - with a tinge of blue being reflected from a blue plastic document pouch.

And we a almost never without rainbows on the walls in winter - that has to be a good way to balance the cold, windy and at times gloomy days.

  2. From the thumbnail photo that showed in my blog list, I thought you'd photographed a bit of fabric with the light playing through, but then your blog loaded and WOW! Pure beauty reflected on your walls as the light danced around. Did you get much work done? I wouldn't have. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi R & J - thanks sharing this fleeting moment; and thanks for commenting. R - I find myself photographing the weirdest things. J - the beauty of the fleeting beauty is it is gone almost as soon as it is appreciated - so then back to work - but you have to love it and sometimes capture it. Go well. B
