Droplets, feathers and other matters

We have had a few days of continuous light rain but we woke this morning to a clearing sky - soft light and the lingering clearness that one can only experience after soft rain - see photos below.

As you can see from the photos below fresh clean raindrops still clung to petals along Treehaven Way and on the frangipanis at home.

Small fungi and new pine trees were making their own statement.

Birds were tidying up after a couple of days of sheltering in the trees; and small preened feathers drifted onto the wet bitumen road.

The day has presented a clear blue sky; and one can see for about 80klms.

We have no control over nature - but we can rejoice that it offers both rain and sunlight to continue the plant growing process - we should never take it fore granted or destroy it.

  3. Our rain was very heavy but seems to have stopped for a while. I'd love to send some to Penny. Your feathers are truly beautiful, what wondrous things they are.

  4. Hi P, GB & C - sorry for the delayed response to your comments - they are valued. P - hope you are getting a bit of damp down your way - too many fires. GB and C - the macro on the iPhone sometimes works well and picks details up on things such as the feathers that one can't see with the naked eye. Go well. B
