Rust in the landscape

Fiona and I have been doing a lot of walking since we arrived at the cottage - for fitness but also to take in our surroundings. Because we are by the sea rust is a prevalent feature of bits and pieces in the landscape.

Some of the images below are from the fishing cove at the end of our road; some are abandoned bits out in the middle of nowhere about a half an hour from our village; and others from a post-clearance village and a derelict cottage.

That was a bit of a rust feast.

  2. Oh, ha! I can just imagine the frustration of seeing so many bits of rust and contemplating how ever to get them on a plane to go home.
