Four metal projects

Over the weekend I was progressing and finishing 4 different projects: peace doves for International Peace Day on 21 September; Leafspoons and Leaf Pate Knives for Maleny Additions and Entangle; some leaves to test out an idea for a wall piece; and brass leaves for the citizens festival in Tatebayashi.

The Peace Doves are looking good. I have 21 made; and have about 12 I need to stamp with the word peace.

Because I was making Leafspoons and Pate Knives for two outlets I had about 24 leaf forms on the go at the one time. But as you can see they have turned out well; and the stashes for Maleny Additions are tagged. for delivery tomorrow.

The patinated leaves on the Red Cedar timber looks good from the perspective of doing the test run for the wall piece.

And I'm about halfway through grinding and polishing the 100 flat brass leaf forms for Japan.

Pretty good outcome given that quite a bit of time over the weekend was given over to visitors etc.

  6. Hi S, JM, P, V and C - thanks very much for you checking out this metallic assortment and leaving your comments. S - good business. JM - most times it does not seem like work. P - the peace birds will be installed on 124 September - a week before international peace day. V - small and precious. C - I also liked the leaves on the timber - sadly that is not where things will go - oh the life of an artist??? All - go well & peace. B
