Mixed bag on Friday

I'm still doing short bursts of activity; and even though it is Friday I'm not yet in a fit state to get down and dirty in the garage-studio. However aspects of art life continue to tick over. A couple of older works that are made from recycled encyclopaedias and year books are to make their way to Maroochy Art and Ecology Centre to be part of the Sunshine Coast Council's Treeline exhibition called Tread Lightly. Fiona is one of the featured artists in the exhibition.

I will be send Quiet Transition and Leaf Cascades as part of the exhibition set up on 12-13 June.

And the work Ken Munsie and I collaborated on, Flowing Words, will also be installed in the gardens as part of the exhibition.

I have also had the opportunity to put a few more pieces up in the shop including seed pods and a cluster of smaller leaves.

So still thinking and ticking away artistically.

  1. "Tread Lightly".... "Quiet Transition" ..... There are messages everywhere Barry. Glad you are still being careful. I bet there are a lot of good ideas brewing while you are recuperating.

  3. Glad you're makin' small step. BTW checked out your shop.... impressive. I need to do that - maybe I'd sell something other than just at shows.... But that's the part of this business i hate. Have a great weekend! :) :) :)

  4. Take it easy Barry. We don't want any hiccups on the road to recovery.
