A few images from Canberra

A couple of weeks ago Fiona and I were in Canberra for work, art and friends. We did quite a bit of walking and checked out a few of our favourite art places.

Droplet by Stuart Green was a new piece (2012) for us - outside some new government offices. Whilst it is beautiful it did appear a little large for the site.

Following is a fragment of a peace memorial that has been in place since 2006. The pinnacle of the piece has this beautiful enfolding aspect - contrasted against a very blue sky.

And because it is Wednesday - why not share a few altered photos.

Went to the heart specialist today - got a clean bill of health.

  1. All wonderful, especially the clean bill of health! So pleased to hear that, B! The Droplet is fabulous but as you suggested, a bit big for where it is. But how beautifully you've photographed it, and the Peace Memorial, too. I always appreciate your altered photos, they just take on a life of their own. What a very satisfying post.
