After rain

©2018 Barry Smith - Single droplet of rain between the leaves of an Agave
We have had a couple of weeks of heat, dry, smoke and dust - so it was grand to have a light rain that lasted most of the afternoon yesterday. We only had about 12mm of rain but we woke to a white out and fresh crisp morning.

The flowers and trees just seemed to celebrate the moisture - so many of them had caught and retained the droplets. I love seeing the crystal fresh cleanest of the early morning droplets as can be seen in the photo above and below.

The whiteout offered some muted morning shots and contrasts.

There was no doubt about it - you could hear the plants breath this morning.
