As if floating and feeding frenzy

©2020 Barry Smith - Gorgeous small blossoms discarded by the feeding rainbow lorikeets.
Gentle walk this morning - soft light; accompanied by raucous rainbow lorikeets. They were in a feeding frenzy. There were chewed blossoms on the road and in the grass from many different trees. It would seem the hot weather followed by rain has resulted in great blossom food for birds and bees.

Some of the flower on their long stems just appeared to be floating in midair.

As I said at the beginning the morning light was muted - it seems to have changed suddenly - autumn is on a few days old!!!!

I just had to add in this blossom with its tiny companion spider.

  1. I have no end of photos from the Hill Country house that were "photo-bombed" by tiny critters ... I usually don't "see" them except in hindsight

Thank you, always, for your close observations and the sharing here
