New publication on a rainy day

As you can see from the photo below today has been a rainy, gloomy and overcast day - so best to do indoor tasks.

Fiona was working on the Flags for Peace 2012 blurb publication yesterday and today, so I thought I'd use her companionable expertise to create a new blurb book on my metal work.

I have titled the 20 page book Precious Pieces as a reference to the pieces I create and the fact that they are made from recycled materials - saving precious metal from going into land fill or sold for scrap. A few screen shots show what I was up to.

I did manage to finish the book and it has  has now been published and will be delivered in the next few weeks.

  4. VA, B & MJ - thanks for checking out the almost published work - should have it in my hands in a few weeks - looking forward to that. I hope to use the publication on a promotion tour down south in about mid March. VA - I have had offers on that bowl but have never sold it - don't know why it is such a funny thing. Maybe I could go there again. B- I agree with the metal saved - still practicing but you are right I am producing some things that bring me joy as well. MJ - glad you have been able to check the blog out - you know me too well - always trying to find some way to use a bit of creative energy - and I find shaping and using the recycled metal relaxing. All - go well, be well and enjoy. B

  8. SZQ, C & V - your comments are appreciated; and suggest that doing this book was not a half bad idea. SZQ - $C - as an artist it is good to know pieces are in good homes with great people - makes it all more worthwhile. V - I like how you put that - metal that migrates top paper and the paper to digital - strange and wonderful world we live in. Go well. B
