A little bit of art

Today has been a community sort of day - most of the day has been given over to meetings and discussions.

But yesterday afternoon and an 1.5hours of today I managed to make a display board for my Steampunk influenced jewellery. This is so that it can be displayed and sold in our local bookshop-coffee shop (Rosettas) which has a large Steampunk-ish coffee machine. The owner (Ann) has bought a couple of my Steampunk 'coffee' mugs to hold teaspoons etc.

So the display board needed to continue the Steampunk influence and add to the decor. I think the photos below indicate it will at least be different. And you can see I have used more the bike gear cassettes. The copper is recycled from a shower base. THe display is 40mm wide and 700mm long.

Given it is Friday I think I will leave the post at that and relieve a bottle of red of some internal pressure.

  5. Great board, Barry, and your steampunky collection look wonderful there. I'm still thrilled with my steampunk/watch parts earrings, and have worn them obsessively every day since they arrived, which must be a couple of months now.
