This morning as I walked the block at dawn I set out to take photos of the flowers and post on them tonight. But the peace flags and various peace symbols on the block caught my eye. I thought I would share them - just as another vibe for peace.

Must be a bit like living in a temple, Barry, The symbolism of 'peace' in tatters is not lost.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about wanting to turn off the media and hibernate Barry. But we mustn't turn a blind eye. Rather than thinking of the peace flag as being in tatters, I prefer to think of it as doing exactly what it is made for - sending envoys/atoms of peace out into the world, to where it is most needed.
ReplyDeletePeace to you, Barry, thanks for sharing all the beauty.
ReplyDeleteIt's very easy to feel despondent when watching the news and reading the papers. Sometimes I have to stop watching, listening and reading or succumb to all the negativity. I think walking at dawn looking for peace symbols is a wonderful way of lifting ones spirits.
ReplyDeleteHi JM, A, VA & R - thank you for your comments - supportive and encouraging. It is reassuring to know that others struggle with the ever present violence and discord. JM - yes I felt that peace in tatters was apt; but A has made a good point - the flag is in tatters as it has waved and flapped bravely sending its vibes out. VA - thanks for your gift of peace. R - good to look for peace symbols at dawn - such a special energy time - I need to remember that more. All - go well in and for peace. B
ReplyDeleteNice photos, pure delicacy for peace, especially wonderful the first! Really impressive!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there will ever be peace .... it probably has to start from within and I wonder how many of us around the globe are at peace within. Love that you and Fiona don't just talk about it but make art that speaks of peace.
ReplyDeleteHi L & SB - thanks for adding your peace energy by visiting and commenting. SB - we all try to do our little bit. Go well. B
