What was interesting is that the piece in question sits on a small cantilevered platform near our bronze Lena sculpture (by Phillip Piperides) and surrounded by bamboo, ferns and orchids.

The sculpture is ageing nicely - the rusted metal based is getting some nice colours about it. Good contrast against the grey-blue rendered wall.
Aah you have the ceramic sculpture I so admired! Your home must be filled with wonderful things.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful vignette. Art lives in relationship with the things around it.

ReplyDeleteAll - what a great world we live in when it is possible to see such connections between us all. Fiona and I are fortunate that we started with a clean slate - the block was undeveloped and needed heaps of work to terrace and landscape it. We have done this ourselves - lot of work over 3.5 years but it has given us the opportunity to purchase, trade and create pieces that are gradually turning our block into a mini sculpture garden/park. I will post on a sample of the bits in the future. Go well. b
