Winter moon & light

Ok I know - I'm a bit obsessed with photos of the moon and the light in the valley; but what can one do when nature offers such beauty. The dark clear nights and mornings of winter offer the perfect opportunity to see the moon just before day breaks; and the morning walks are starting in the dark as you can see from the photo below - the lights across the valley are the Brisbane Port and CBD - about 80klm away.

But I was talking about the moon - a few shots from Monday morning, Tuesday night and this morning. The zoom photos of the moon were taken with our Canon SX50HS.

I think the above are worth getting up in the dark and cold for.

And as you can see from the photo above there is the gorgeous colours in the valley created by the sunrising and moon setting

  4. Hi AA, S & C - it is not hard when one is a little obsessed with the moon; and when one has a good point band shoot camera. C - glad the children liked the detail. Buying the camera was a lucky stroke. All - go well. B
