I didn't get a lot of time in the workshop over the weekend; but enough to create quite a few components to assemble into Found and Formed jewellery.

As you can see from the opening photo above (on a dusty workbench) - there will be a number of pendants that have multiple layers - pearl shell, gold plate and silver plate - see below.

Cutting the pieces from the pearl shells has turned out to be the easiest part of the process - see well drilled out shell below. The more time consuming process has been grinding the hard crusty outer layer outer off the pieces of shell and giving the individual pieces a polish on the back and edges - see second photo below.

However the outcome is well work it - the shell pieces can look so lustrous - some even buttery.
