Agapanthus and other joyful bits

I'm not sure if but the season for agapanthus or not; but there are a lot of different beauties out in our neighbourhood including the above very deep purple one.

I read that the name agapanthus is derived from the Greek meaning love flower - it is a flower that is loved by some and loathed by others. I quite like the variety and beauty and hardiness of the flower - see more imagers below.

A few days ago a couple of pale headed rosellas landed on the next door roof and spent some time companionably grooming - they appear to be a quiet and gentle bird not like the raucous rainbow lorikeet.

There are couple of hares that roam the neighbourhood - they paid us a visit today.

A joyful morning's walk.
